Testimonials

I have seen firsthand, Jennifer work her magic. Jennifer creates a calm space when training a dog. She is patient and waits for the dog to interact with her, building trust before asking anything from the dog. She works with the dog to shape desired behaviors using positive reinforcement that not only includes treats, but rewards that are meaningful to the dog, such as praise or play time. She then extends the training to the owner so that they can best understand and communicate with their dog.

Jenn’s training skills go beyond dogs. In addition to helping me with my dogs, she was able to train one of my chickens to touch a target with its beak! I was amazed!

I highly recommend working with Jennifer. She has a natural way with dogs, and their humans. She has a tremendous depth of knowledge with extensive experience in a wide range of training and behavioral situations. She helped us with a foster, who we ended up adopting, that was showing signs of resource guarding. Her help focused on positive reinforcement and training techniques. With her guidance and support, we were able to meet his individual needs and successfully resolve his behaviors. I can't recommend Jennifer enough!!

I met Jennifer many years ago when she attended my dog training classes with her rescued Golden Retrievers. I was impressed early on with her ability to communicate and work with her own dogs. I also had the opportunity over the years to see how much she was able to use those skills to help the Golden Retriever Rescue. I wasn't surprised when she decided to attend the Karen Pryor Clicker Training Academy and become a certified trainer. Her great personal skills, her extensive experience with the rescue, and now her KPA certification are a perfect combination for a great dog training professional. I feel very comfortable referring clients to Jennifer knowing that she continues her education and stays current on the latest in animal behavior.

Realistic Expectations for your New Family Member
I’ve raised two dogs from puppyhood, while the rest I’ve adopted or fostered as young adults or seniors.  The joy of having a companion animal can be so rewarding, but it also comes with its challenges and stresses, regardless of the age when they become part of your family.  It can be even more challenging...
