I graduated from Karen Pryor Academy in 2021 and am a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP) #86685.  As a KPA CTP, I believe in using positive reinforcement training methods.  Dog training is an unregulated business and Karen Pryor Academy is recognized as one of the most highly respected and challenging programs available.  I am proud to have completed the program and share the skills and knowledge I have acquired along the way with you.  My certification and ongoing positive reinforcement education helps ensure you are getting the best training available.

I earned my MBA in Business from Loyola University Chicago in 1998 and built a career in consulting, sales, and merchandising.  My passion for helping animals began in 2014 after adopting a fearful Golden Retriever. Traditional training methods weren’t working.  My growing understanding of dog behavior and its underlying scientific principles led me to focus on dog training as a career.  I launched Retz Petz_SM Canine Training part-time in 2021 and transitioned to full-time in 2023.
